Organizations need to adapt, survive, innovate and renew themselves in an environment of continuous change. In this context knowledge sharing strategies are becoming increasingly important. They accelerate the drive for institutions to become true learning organizations.
From this point of view the ITC-ILO designed and developed a knowledge workshop which strategically integrates key elements from learning, organizational development, human resource development and the evolving information and communication technology. This learning event is rather people-oriented than information-centred and gradually shifts emphasis from knowledge management towards knowledge sharing.
Connecting knowledge workers (and how to approach this) in combination with leveraging individual and organizational knowledge constitutes the main framework of this knowledge lab
